New week, and another book series we are going to take a closer look at. The Women of the Otherworld series is one of my favourites, but since all the books are about different characters in that world I thought it would be a good idea to review each book individually. I know I already gave a little synopsis before about Bitten, but here’s a little reminder.
Bitten–by Kelley Armstrong is one of my favourites of the series and the first one in it. It introduces us to this new universe where the werewolves are the main characters. I think it’s a refreshing new take since the only supernatural being I’ve been hearing about since Twilight came out is vampires.
Elena Michaels is the only female werewolf and she’s had a tough time coming to terms with that. She lives in Toronto with her human boyfriend and tries to be as normal as possible, but eventually the supernatural world is calling her back and she is forced to go back to her first werewolf home and pack. And of course she runs into the hunky Clay, who happens to be her ex-boyfriend.
Definitely recommend this for anyone who is into shows like Supernatural, Trueblood, the Sookie Stackhouse series, or anyone who is looking for a less teen centered supernatural family to hang out with.
