I’m baaaAAAaack

Ok, so I didn’t go anywhere special, but I’m back from the short hiatus that I decided would be good for my brain. Which turned out to be a great idea because I read three books in that time!

…maybe I should have been taking a break from reading, but oh well. Knocking out the three last books on my shelf is a major win for me! As you’ve read from past posts, I have several bookshelves in my bedroom (three to be exact) and they are filled to the brim and busting with books that need to be read and ones that I already have read.

I have about four shelves in a bookcase that I have set up to read and I have finished the first shelf this past week! Very exciting in my world.

Having finished up the book on the Royals in time for the Royal wedding was a major accomplishment as well! And my past post on how great it was remains intact. It was a great read and I highly suggest it for people who want to know a little bit more about them, but it’s not completely full of all the nitty-gritty that we are so use to learning about celebrities and stuff. (They are royalty after all, they have to remain proper and composed. Which I love.)

Fully expect a report tomorrow on the True Crime book I read –Murder Stories by Frank Jones and Wednesday you can enjoy my writing about King Arthur and His Knights.

Right now I’m reading The Orc King by R.A. Salvatore and I’m getting confused…I’m only on the seventh page and this has more crazy names in it than Lord of the Rings! I’m thinking about bailing…anyone read these before??? Know if it’s worth it to power through the weirdo names and keep going?

Also, you can look forward to my next read after this one, which is Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane. I’m kind of scared to read this because I don’t want to have the bejeesus scared out of me this week! I watched a Nazi zombie movie on the weekend with my sisters and the suspense in that was enough to have me set for awhile! (If you want to watch it, and I highly suggest you do because it was amazing it was Dead Snow and horrifically wonderful and badass.)

Oh yeah, a new Charlaine Harris book is out today! Dead Reckoning, another Sookie Stackhouse book and I’m super excited for it!

What did you read while I was gone? Are you voting today?
