Well, hello. I assume you’ve all figured out that I will sporadically be writing again, since that’s what I’ve been doing these last few weeks.
It actually feels good to write what I’m thinking, even just about my love affairs with books.
You should know that I’ve FINALLY finished reading The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan. At some point I’ll write a review on it, but for now I’m just happy that I broke free of my reading rut. My plan was to finish The Throne of Fire by Mr. Riordan by December, but I’ve had a lot going on these last couple of days and I’m only around 50 pages in. It looks like it’ll be just as good as the last one though and I’m starting to enjoy reading about Egyptian stuff even though it took me awhile to wrap my head around the names last time.
I hope I finish this one soon (I’m cutting down my television time after work in order to get more reading done…so far I’ve used up this allotted hour to clean the rabbit cage, pluck my eyebrows and try on skirts…clearly my head isn’t in the game yet.) and that things go back to normal reading wise.
The next books on my list are a couple of romances that I thought would be nice for the holiday season. A Debbie Macomber called ‘The Perfect Christmas’ and a book by Jude Deveraux that I’m thinking I’ll read every year around the holiday season to get me in the spirit “Holly”. I know, I know, ‘Holly’ wasn’t exactly set around Christmas until the end, but whatever, I still like it.
Constant vigilance is back.
