The Lost Hero–Rick Riordan

I’ve become a huge fan of Rick Riordan. I’ve read his Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, his Kane Chronicles and now his Heroes of Olympus…saga… ?

Well, I haven’t completely finished that last one, but The Son of Neptune is next on the list.

I have, however, finished reading The Lost Hero and I’ve got to say: It was better than the rest. I adored the Percy Jackson series, but this was a little more closer to my age I think. It was still meant for preteens and teens, but I appreciated the grown up-ness of this.

Jason wakes up on a bus where he is holding hands with his girlfriend and his friend is yammering away about something. The only thing is, that he has no idea who they are or who he is. And it just gets better from there. I can’t even tell you any more than that because it’s too good. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to move on to S.O.N.

This book had some old characters in it, that were welcome faces to this “new” series. And the plot was pretty cool, I can’t wait to see how it turns out.

I am currently reading a pretty amazing book by Ann-Marie MacDonald ‘Fall on your Knees’ and it is surprising me at every turn and I’m only halfway through!

(Looks like my Kindle dilemma is over and I’m back to the hard stuff of real books for now.)
