The Summerhouse–Jude Deveraux

It’s that time of year again. Summer, baby. Sure it snowed like a beast last week, but I’ve declared it summer already so freak snowstorms can eat my dust.

Jude is my best friend when it comes to summer reading and this book did not disappoint.

The premise is that three women that met in a DMV who share the same birthday had a memorable day while waiting on their driver licenses. When they were in their twenties.

Then they decide to get together again after not seeing each other for twenty years and celebrate their fortieth birthdays together at a friends summerhouse.

This is where things go crazy (and I thought it was going to be done in a cheesy fashion, but upon reading it things went well.) and these women have an opportunity to go into their pasts for a three-week period and fix their lives in a way that they’ve always wished they could.

Naturally, I’m not going to tell you what happened.

But it was fun and cute. And as always, good for a laugh. Put this bad boy on your summer reading list, because it’s a fun beach read and I can’t wait to read the sequel.
