I had been looking forward to this book for such a long time that I’m really disappointed that I finished it. She’s one of my favourite writers even though I’ve never read ‘Girl with the Pearl Earring’ or whatever her other books are.
I’ve read “Burning Bright” and it’s among my favourites and now this is too.
Written in Jane Austen time (she mentions that one of the characters actually met Jane at a ball at some point, which I found cute.) about a woman who likes to look for fossils. Dinosaurs and the like.
I thought I’d get bored with it, but the characters are really interesting and I liked the flow of the plot and writing.
Get into this one, it’s a good read.
