There are a few years of Jude’s writing that really get me, they are called the 80s. I don’t mean that they choke me up from the incredible love story, I mean that they crack me up from what was found sexy back then.
Throw in that writing and school of thought with the idea of an English conqueror and just the hairiness that happened back then and you have an amazing story all set up.
I love Jude’s writing just because it’s bold, I get the feeling that she use to write for herself and it just caught on later.
This wasn’t one of my favourites of hers but it had some great moments. It’s a good beach read and I’m glad I read it this summer.
