Just as a heads up, I’m going to Louisville, Kentucky, until next week!
So no posts this Tuesday, I’ll put something up on Thursday!
Now for the bad news. I am reading a really great book (Diane Setterfields- The Thirteenth Tale) and I’ve just come (FREELY, so don’t freak out!) into a couple of books that people have been yammering on about for months…and my sick curiosity has been spiked. Has been peaked! Has been snared!
I’ve read the first page, and it’s terrible already. BUT. As a self declared book fiend, book friend, book lover, book wife, I have decided to see what the fuss is about. What could possibly be the big deal with these books? What is everyone talking about?
Why are most of my friends sickened by the very thought that millions upon millions are reading these?
That’s right. I’m talking about Fifty Shades of Grey.
I like to give all books a chance, but from what I’ve seen, I’m not going to be impressed. Even though my friend has told me that if you look past all the sex and the bad writing that the characters are “kind of funny”.
Can I get past what makes a book a book? I’ll tell you soon.
More than likely you’ll just hear me crying and my family will find me in a ball on the floor holding Harry Potter and whispering “We’re better than that…we’re better than that…”
Have a good weekend! 😀
